SaniTap develops, pilots, and scales climate mitigation projects designed to generate high-quality CO₂ emissions reductions while delivering meaningful economic development outcomes.
Our operational mitigation portfolio spans improved cooking (Gold Standard-verified) and safe water at scale, including rural hand pumps and piped water systems built by our partner NatuRano and operated through Endur'O, our joint venture. Alongside these, we run pilots of biochar and nature-based carbon removal that have potential to deliver long-term carbon sequestration while supporting soil restoration, agricultural productivity, and sustainable biomass management.

Restoration of Safe Drinking Water after Cyclones.
Madagascar sits in one of the world's most active tropical cyclone corridors. SaniTap restores drinking-water systems damaged in recent cyclones, the loss-and-damage response to harm already done, and installs cyclone-resistant systems designed to survive the storms projected for the decades ahead.
Climate Adaptation Project Development.
Alongside mitigation activities, SaniTap develops projects that strengthen local climate resilience and support community adaptation to increasing climate risks. Our work focuses particularly on building water infrastructure that can withstand the growing impacts of extreme weather events.
Our cyclone-resistant clean water supply system incorporates resilient infrastructure design and long-term maintenance commitment to safeguard reliable access to drinking water in regions vulnerable to severe storms and flooding. SaniTap is also developing projects under the Adaptation Benefits Mechanism (ABM), an emerging mechanism that quantifies and finances verified climate adaptation outcomes.
